Derek's Racing Background

Derek Kale has been racing since the young age of 11. He began racing go karts and was an instant success. In his first season Derek won an impressive 12 races. Derek continued his success over the next five years in karting competition, earning 2 championships and over 35 wins. He finished his karting career 5th overall in the World Karting Association.

At age 16, Derek's success in go karts enabled him to make the move to stock car racing. He competed in the limited Sportsman Division, and again, proved to be a fierce competitor. Derek drove to 5 victories and 7 additional podium finishes.

The following year, Derek progressed to the Nascar Dodge weekly series where he fielded a late Model Stock Car. Derek was able to capture 2 wins and 5 top 5 finishes.
